It was early 2025 when we first stepped into this old apartment. The bathroom was in a severely deteriorated state. Worn surfaces, an awkward layout, and a lot of wasted space made the room feel much smaller than it actually was. The existing area was never truly utilized – it was simply occupied.

The client came with a remarkably clear vision. They knew exactly what they wanted: not a generic, replaceable standard bathroom, but a space with character. In close collaboration with an interior designer, we began a joint process focused on rethinking the room. Our goal was to use the available space more intelligently, create freedom of movement, and develop a layout that is both functional and aesthetically compelling.

During the planning phase, multiple design drafts were created. At the same time, our execution team was involved early on, contributing their expertise directly. Especially in an old building, it quickly became clear what was possible and where the limitations lay: the position of water pipes, existing soil stacks, and thin walls required precise decisions. Rather than seeing these factors as restrictions, we used them as guiding points for a feasible, clean concept. Planning and execution worked closely together to ensure that every idea was examined and optimized not only aesthetically but also technically.

Material selection was also a deliberate process. The tiles chosen by the interior designer gave the room its identity. Contrary to typical bathroom conventions, we decided not to tile only the traditional wet areas. By carrying the design across all walls, a calm, cohesive look was created, emphasizing the special impact of the tiles and giving the room a clear character.

The result is a bathroom that is thoughtfully designed, meticulously planned, and executed with craftsmanship. A project that demonstrates how powerful a space can become when clear vision, professional planning, and experienced execution come together seamlessly.
