In the fall of 2025, we comprehensively renovated and modernized a 104 m² old apartment in Berlin-Mitte. The result is a contemporary, high-quality living space that combines the building’s historic charm with clear, modern design.

A particular highlight is the bathroom. A durable terrazzo stone floor was installed, whose natural look and feel create a warm, inviting atmosphere while meeting the highest standards of easy maintenance and longevity.

The walls were seamlessly coated with microcement in a subtle gray tone – a water-resistant, modern material that gives the space a calm, minimalist elegance. Complemented by green accent tiles in the walk-in shower and warm rattan pendant lights, the result is a functional and aesthetically sophisticated wellness area.

The entire 104 m² parquet flooring was professionally sanded and sealed with a dark pigmented oil, per the client’s request. This treatment emphasizes the natural grain of the oak, gives the floor a deep, warm tone, and ensures a durable, breathable surface. The dark floor creates a harmonious contrast with the light walls and highlights the spaciousness of the open living area with its high, arched windows and striking columns.

The electrical installation was completely renewed and brought up to current safety standards. In areas where recessed installation was not technically possible, slim, color-matched cable channels were used. These were deliberately integrated as a design element, blending seamlessly into the overall aesthetic without disrupting the clean lines.

The client is very satisfied with the result – the apartment now combines functionality, quality, and a calm, warm living atmosphere at the highest level. The project demonstrates a successful balance of functionality, craftsmanship, and serene, inviting design.
